Scott Tucker
Director of Training
|
Scott enters his 3rd year with Pursuit and has served as an educator and head coach at the High School level for the past 8 years. He presently trains the 94 White and 95 blue teams for Pursuit, and is the PE/Health Department Chair and Head Men's Soccer Coach for Langham Creek High School 17-5A in Cy-Fair ISD. Tucker is a 2-time Coach of the year selection, 2004, 2007 in 17-5A, and has finished as Runner-Up for Coach of the Year 3-times. He was selectedto coach the TASCO Region III Senior showcase in 2007 and was a 2007 finalist for TASCO State Coach of the Year for Region III. Tucker currently holds a USSF National License, NSCAA National Youth Diploma, NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA Regional Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA State Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA Regional and Advanced Regional Diplomas, and the English FA Psychology Level I Certification. Scott also is involved in the Houston Dynamo Player Development System as Trainer and Site Coordinator for the West Houston Center of Excellence. He is a 2000 graduate from the University of Texas, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Double Minor in Philosophy and Natural Science. Scott grew up in the North Texas Area, where he played club ball for the Texas Strikers, FW United, and Longhorns SC, as well as playing High School Soccer for Richland High School. |

Kyle Abshire |
Kyle has a BS in Kinesiology from Lamar University and MEd from Stephen F. Austin University in Educational Leadership. He also earned his National USSF D License, US Soccer National Youth License, Regional NSCAA License, and his NSCAA Goal Keeping I and II license.Along with his training assignments, Kyle also runs summer speed and conditioning camps, where the training combines conditioning / fitness with running technique for speed and quickness development. Kyle is now in his 17th year in education, 7 of those years as a head soccer coach.

Kevin Napier |
Kevin is back for his fifth year with the Pursuit. He brings to Pursuit a wealth of playing and coaching experience. Growing up playing in the Houston area for the Lone Stars, the Classics, and Westfield High School Kevin went to Stephen F. Austin where he played his collegiate years and graduated in 1998 with a Kinesiology degree and minor in history. He holds a level I and II NSCAA National Goalkeeping License and has his advanced regional diploma from the NSCAA. Also, Kevin has been a clinician at the TASCO soccer clinic. He resides in Houston as the Cypress Falls High School varsity boys head coach where he has twice been district champions and coach of the year once. Kevin has also worked with the Spring Lone Star Soccer Club, the Woodlands Elite Futbol Club, served as a staff trainer for the Mike Henshaw soccer camp for the past nine years and has been the boys head soccer coach at Eisenhower High School. Pursuit hired Kevin in August 2002 to head-up the goalkeeping training responsibilities along with working the teams in PSC. |

Amy Pettibone |
Amy is in her second year with Pursuit. She is the H.S. Womens Coach at Cinco Ranch High School where her teams have become both District and Area Champions over the past five years of her coaching. Amy graduated from Humble HS where she played Varsity soccer for 4 years and still holds the school record for most goals scored in a season (52) and career (108). She has played club ball for local area clubs and earned a NCAA Division 1 scholarship to the University of Tulsa. After she suffered a career ending injury, she transferred to Texas A&M University earning her degree in Health and Kinesiology. Under Amy’s guidance, Cinco Ranch has also produced 77 All-District Athletes and has coached at all levels of club select soccer.

Amy Bradley |
Amy is in her first year with Pursuit and brings with her a strong playing background and training experience at various levels of play. Amy grew up in Lufkin, Texas playing both Club and HS Soccer in the area and then went to Southwestern University in Georgetown, where she played all 4 years for the Pirates. Upon graduation, Amy traveled to Europe and New Zealand and worked in the business environment as well as working with various organizations training players at all levels of play. She has been on staff with the Georgetown Soccer Association and has worked with Texas Soccer Academy prior to joining Pursuit. Amy currently holds a United States Soccer Federation National "D" License and will be working with the 90 Lightning and 96 White teams for 2008.

Ricky Lewis
|
Ricky joins Pursuit for the Spring 2008 season, bringing with him a wealth of soccer knowledge and experience. After graduating from Klein High School in 2000, Ricky attended Clemson University where he played for his first 2 years in college. In 2002, Ricky was called in to play for the U-20 National Team in the Under 20 World Championships, and was later selected to appear with the U-23 in the Olympic Qualifiers. Ricky was one of the first members of the Nike Project 40 program and was selected as the 20th overall pick in the 2003 MLS Superdraft by the Los Angeles Galaxy. Over the past 4 years he has appeared in numerous professional matches with the Los Angeles Galaxy, Colorado Rapids and Columbus Crew. He trained with Standard Liege in Belgium in 2005. Ricky brings with him a wealth of knowledge and a great demeanor in dealing with youth level players and serves as a positive role model to players of all ages. |

David Hughes - Technical Advisor

David Hughes comes aboard for the Spring 2008 season and will serve as a Technical Advisor and evaluator for Pursuit Soccer Club. David brings with him a plethora of experience and has worked in the Houston High School and Club environment over the past 26 years. Currently, David is the incoming Associate Principal at Cypress Ranch High School and has served as a head coach at Cypress Falls, Langham Creek and Spring Woods High Schools . He has served as President and Clinician for the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches, has been a guest lecturer for the Texas High School Coaches Association, and is currently a South Texas State Soccer Association Instructor. David currently holds a US Soccer "A" License, the highest level offered by the United States Soccer Federation, and will be working with various Pursuit teams and trainers.
