SMU Women's Soccer Staff to Conduct
Special Training Sessions

Pursuit Soccer Club is pleased to announce that the SMU Women's Soccer Staff will be conducting special guest training sessions for our Pursuit Teams on Monday April 28 and Tuesday April 29th!  Staff members on hand will be the SMU Head Womens Coach, Brent Erwin and First Assistant Kyle Mittendorf.  Coach Erwin has been affiliated with the IMG Soccer Academy, the US Under 17 National Team, and the Region III Olympic Development Program, and currently holds a US Soccer "A" License.  Coach Mettendorf is a former PDL player who has been affiliated with Vanderbilt University and Eastern Illinois and currently holds a US Soccer National License.

This is a one of a kind opportunity for the girls of Pursuit to get up close and personal with coaches from one of the Premier Programs from Conference USA and experience some outstanding training.  It also will provide the girls a glimpse of some training activities they could experience at the outstanding SMU camps or once they transition to collegiate level soccer.

We are looking forward to an awesome experience and need all girls to arrive on time for their scheduled training sessions, be in their Pursuit practice uniform, and have a GREAT attitude!

GOOOOOO PURSUIT!!!!!

3 Seniors Awarded Pursuit Soccer Club

Pursuit Soccer Club is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2008 College Scholarship Awards. The applicants were evaluated on their committment and loyalty to Pursuit Soccer Club, their demonstation of sportsmanship, leadership, and moral character while representing the Club, along with other academic and civic achievements. The awards were granted during the Annual Pursuit Banquet on April 20 to Kathleen Evans, Allison Espino, and Mackenzie Fowler. Congratulations to three outstanding young women.

Pursuit Partners with the Houston Dynamo

April 4, 2008 - The Houston Dynamo are excited to announce Pursuit Soccer Club as the
latest Student of the Game partner club. The Student of the Game program is designed to provide youth soccer clubs in the metro-Houston area with a series of educational, motivational and inspirational benefits to assist player’s, coaches and parents. The recruitment and retention of players, parent volunteers, coaches, and professional staff remains a challenge for most youth soccer organizations. The "Student of the Game" program provides clubs with various tools aimed at assisting in this area.

Some key aspects of the Student of the Game program are a special “Club Night Out” at Robertson Stadium for a Dynamo home game, player presentations at Pursuit Soccer Club Events, discounts to Houston Dynamo Camps, and a monthly newsletter with educational information. Possibly the best aspect of the program is the “Club Night Out” events that Pursuit Soccer Club will be involved in at the Houston Dynamo game, as the outing gives youth players the opportunity to watch a game live, learn from professionals and provide parents an opportunity to meet each other in a social setting. The "Club Night Out" is the ultimate teambuilding event that will allow registered soccer players from Pursuit Soccer Club an opportunity to be on field prior to the match and participate in different pre-game festivities. The first Pursuit Soccer Club Night Out event will be held on May 31st as the Dynamo take on the New York Red Bulls.
